The Future is Connected Construction

Magazine Mockup Presentation vol9 2x

'Connected construction'.

It's a vision that Stephen Taylor, managing director of KPS UAE, shared in his latest op-ed for Design Middle East.

He outlines the major challenges that come with large construction projects - and how a more connected approach can help overcome them.

Stephen explains how operational blind spots with supply chains, labour, budgets and timelines continue to cost the industry more than it has to.

Partially due to slow adoption of technology - but equally - gaps in its connectivity.

"Even when construction companies do start to use technology, it’s often just a suite of unconnected systems that are not talking to each other."

"These silos require multiple entries of the same data, and the lack of connection prevents the data from creating a bigger picture."

"Today, connected construction technology is transforming interior design and construction companies like KPS."

Delving into detail with information modelling, data collection apps, virtual reality and 3D printing — Stephen says that we can make 'everyone, and everything, work smarter'.

That’s a vision we can all get behind.
